Background

The client is a Southeast Asian power company that manages a large number of electric poles and power towers, which are widely distributed, with a large inspection workload and low efficiency.

Solution

Based on the V8 handheld RFID reader, intelligent monitoring and inspection of transmission lines is realized, including full-process step-by-step inspection and key inspection. During the inspection, the line inspector needs to use the inspection equipment V8 handheld RFID reader to walk along the line to inspect the entire transmission line and the corresponding inspection area. Each inspection section has about dozens of designated points (key inspection points). During normal inspections, the GPS inspection equipment collects an information point every 30 seconds and automatically records the walking trajectory of the inspector. The inspector can also read the tag or bind the pole tower through the RFID function of V8 to confirm the status of the inspection point. Comprehensively understand the changes in the line, timely discover and solve problems, and improve the quality of maintenance. Key inspections are inspections of special areas, such as rural areas, industrial and mining areas, and areas that are easily destroyed by floods during the rainy season. Inspections are conducted 3 to 5 times a month or once a week. Inspectors complete the inspections within the specified time and arrive at the designated inspection sections and designated points in steps or by vehicles.
