Managing coal trucks for thermal power plants

2021-07-03 11:53:24 2856

Background

The client is a thermal power plant in Southeast Asia. Tens of thousands of coal trucks visit the power plant every day. In order to manage these trucks more effectively, the client decided to introduce RFID technology.

Solution

We deployed V8 handheld terminals with HF RFID function for the client. Each truck was assigned an HF RFID card as its unique identity, and the basic information of the vehicle was written into the card. When the truck arrives at the entrance, weighing counter or loading and unloading area, the unique card is read using the V8 handheld device to add the required data. All recorded data can be synchronized to the backend server under WIFI or 4G network connection, which is smooth and convenient.

Effect

1. Data recording has been changed from manual to automatic, and the efficiency of truck traffic has been greatly improved.

2. Intelligent data capture at each key step standardizes the workflow.

3. The accuracy of data such as coal weight has been greatly improved, and cheating has been greatly reduced.

4. Wireless data transmission eliminates the need for repeated transcription, reduces errors and omissions, and saves economic losses.
